Shuttleworth D-Day themed weekend supported by the D-Day Squadron as part of their 2024 legacy tour. This is not an airshow as such and there will be no displays. You can see the arrival of the D-Day Squadron Legacy Tour on Saturday morning & departure on Sunday afternoon with access to the D-Day Squadron fleet from 12:00-19:30 on the Saturday & 10:00-15:00 on Sunday. There may also be some fly-ins. In particular, American-marked aircraft are being encouraged.

A three-day D-Day Commemoration. At North Weald airfield there will be a fleet of Dakotas and other period aircraft (see the D-Day 80 web site for more details). Over some of the 3-days of the show visitors will be able to tour the aircraft, watch aircraft movements, parachutists emplaning for their jumps & aircraft returning; meet the crew and enjoy 1940s style entertainment, traders and reenactors. There will also be a large number of military vehicles. The vehicles will be setting off on the morning of June 2nd, in convoy to Cherbourg, the next stop on the commemorations. The aircraft will leave later on the same day.

This is essentially a ground show. There will be aircraft and vehicle movements at some times on some days, but not necessarily on all days and there will be no air displays as such. Please see the D-Day 80 web site for more details.

Friday evening 'Nightfire' is a combination of a dusk aerobatic air display with lighting and pyrotechnics and a ground-based hot air balloon glow.

Over the whole weekend expect vintage aircraft, aerobatics and other air displays.

Although the event is being held at Ragley Hall, it is not organised by them, so please do not direct enquiries to the Hall.

In 2020 the Torbay Airshow became 'The English Riviera Airshow' and was to return in 2021 for a fifth year after 2020's cancellation. However, uncertainty surrounding Covid-19 forced a second cancellation. The rebranded show did launch in 2022 with four days of events, although there was only flying over the weekend. The two-day weekend seaside show with the new branding returned in 2023 and is scheduled again for 2024. The show is based over the sea at Paignton and the ground events are centred on Paignton Green.

An 'event village' offers stalls, music, food and fair rides.

The airfield will host a fleet of Paratrooper-carrying C-47s, which will depart Upottery Airfield and cross the English channel to drop parachutists over Normandy. Visitors can witness parachute training drills, parachute packing, living history and vehicle displays and encampments, visit the Airfield’s Heritage Centre as well as browse militaria and food stalls before watching over 100 round canopy parachutists board the fleet of C47 Aircraft. This is essentially a ground show, not an airshow. There will be aircraft movements at some times but there will be no air displays as such.

The historic former WWII airfield HMS Daedalus was the single busiest airfield on D-Day with 435 sorties. The 80th Anniversary Celebrations will bring aircraft back to the skies as well as living history groups, marching bands and music on the ground.

There will be no air displays. This is an open and fly-in with a static aircraft display and classic cars, not an airshow. However, they are aiming to attract 80 visiting aircraft, including historical aircraft from Blackbushe’s past and the BBMF have confirmed a Spitfire / Hurricane flypast. There will be limited chances to participate in some flying action also, with experience flights on Scillonia Airway’s Dragon Rapide and Adventure 001’s Jet Ranger Helicopter. There will also be fun and games for all the family, food, drinks, live entertainment, a history hub, and trade stalls.

Shuttleworth celebrates 60 years of airshows with their first Festival of Flight.

The festival will be held over three days. The first will be dedicated to an international fly-in with about 90 minutes of flying in the evening. The main flying displays will be on Saturday and Sunday. Over all the festival days there will be entertainment, activities and displays to celebrate the achievements of aviation, from the very first flight right up to date, involving the resident Shuttleworth Collection and visiting aircraft.

Wartime and modern military and civil aircraft. Expect an impressive line-up including a great deal of foreign participation not commonly seen on the mainland. Flying is over the coast in St Aubins Bay, adjacent to the island's capital, St. Helier.

Duxford's September Air Show will again commemorate the Battle of Britain. This is one of the biggest and most popular shows in the airshow calendar and often sells out. As well as flying, there will be living history re-enactments and sounds of the era. The ticket price usually includes access to the museums and exhibitions and the Flightline Experience. No tickets on the gate. Parking needs a pre-purchased permit.
