This Flying Day honours 19 Squadron, whose fighter pilots tested the first Spitfire from August 1938 until they flew into combat over Dunkirk and throughout the Battle of Britain.

Duxford's September Air Show will again commemorate the Battle of Britain. This is one of the biggest and most popular shows in the airshow calendar and often sells out. As well as flying, there will be living history re-enactments and sounds of the era. The ticket price usually includes access to the museums and exhibitions and the Flightline Experience. No tickets on the gate. Parking needs a pre-purchased permit. |
