Each of Duxford's Flying Days is themed and will allow visitors the chance to explore the museum and pop up displays and experiences, before enjoying some flying.

The theme this time celebrates VE Day. The flying-line up will commemorate the role of aviation and RAF Duxford in the fight for peace across Europe. There will also be entertainment on the ground. Free entry for members.

The first Shuttleworth Collection airshow of its 60th season celebrates the best that Britain has offered to aviation and automotive innovation. Flying displays of resident and visiting aircraft, vehicle parade and live music.

The show was due to be held in September in 2022 but was postponed because of the death of Her late Majesty. The date was moved to the more traditional Abingdon May slot for 2023, which it retains for 2024.

As well as flying and static displays, expect live music, local crafts, vintage and classic vehicles.

A three-day D-Day Commemoration. At North Weald airfield there will be a fleet of Dakotas and other period aircraft (see the D-Day 80 web site for more details). Over some of the 3-days of the show visitors will be able to tour the aircraft, watch aircraft movements, parachutists emplaning for their jumps & aircraft returning; meet the crew and enjoy 1940s style entertainment, traders and reenactors. There will also be a large number of military vehicles. The vehicles will be setting off on the morning of June 2nd, in convoy to Cherboug, the next stop on the commemorations. The aircraft will leave later on the same day.

This is essentially a ground show. There will be aircraft and vehicle movements at some times on some days, but not necessarily on all days and there will be no air displays as such. Please see the D-Day 80 web site for more details.

Friday evening 'Nightfire' is a combination of a dusk aerobatic air display with lighting and pyrotechnics and a ground-based hot air balloon glow.

Over the whole weekend expect vintage aircraft, aerobatics and other air displays.

Although the event is being held at Ragley Hall, it is not organised by them, so please do not direct enquiries to the Hall.

The Military Airshow has always been one of the venue's bigger airshows. For 2024 it becomes the 'Military Weekend', although there will only be flying on the Sunday.

As well as flying, there will be living history re-enactors, sounds of the era and free access to the museums. The ticket price includes access to the museums and exhibitions.

In 2020 the Torbay Airshow became 'The English Riviera Airshow' and was to return in 2021 for a fifth year after 2020's cancellation. However, uncertainty surrounding Covid-19 forced a second cancellation. The rebranded show did launch in 2022 with four days of events, although there is only flying over the weekend. The two-day weekend seaside show with the new branding returned in 2023 and the organisers say it will be back in 2024 but the return, and the dates, are not absolutely confirmed yet. The show is based over the sea at Paignton and the ground events are centred on Paignton Green.

An 'event village' offers stalls, music, food and fair rides.

The airfield will host a fleet of Paratrooper-carrying C-47s, which will depart Upottery Airfield and cross the English channel to drop parachutists over Normandy. Visitors can witness parachute training drills, parachute packing, living history and vehicle displays and encampments, visit the Airfield’s Heritage Centre as well as browse militaria and food stalls before watching over 100 round canopy parachutists board the fleet of C47 Aircraft. This is essentially a ground show, not an airshow. There will be aircraft movements at some times but there will be no air displays as such.

The 50th Guernsey Air Rally. Events will include a Masquerade Ball (fancy dress not compulsory).

The only RAF-organised show, featuring plenty of RAF displays and other airshow favourites: classic and current British and usually foreign aircraft, too. Lots of static aircraft, entertainment, air museum and trade stalls all on this operational RAF airbase.

Normally in September, the show has been brought forward in the hope that the Red Arrows will display before they leave for their summer tour abroad. This show is centred to the east of St Peter Port harbour.

Described as a 'Festival of Aviation' but in practice mainly an aviation trade fair exhibiting all types from ultralights through to piston props and helicopters, as well as aviation-related technology and accessories.

Not an airshow as such, but lots of static aircraft and usually some demo flying.

Mostly models but also some visiting full-size aircraft. Camping available.

Shuttleworth celebrates 60 years of airshows with their first Festival of Flight.

The festival will be held over three days. The first will be dedicated to an international fly-in. Flying displays will be on the weekend days. Over all the festival days there will be entertainment, activities and displays to celebrate the achievements of aviation, from the very first flight right up to date, involving the resident Shuttleworth Collection and visiting aircraft.

A lively and varied country fair with some static vintage aircraft and a little flying at around 3.30 p.m.

Launched in 2019, cancelled in 2020 & 2021 and resurrected for 2022 & 2023, this airshow in South Devon hopes to be back in 2024, but subject to funding. If it finds the funds, the show is likely to be part of a fun weekend including music. There will probably only be flying on Saturday 6th.

This show used to be held every two years but became an annual show from 2016. This is a free event along the South Wales coast, which attracts first class displays and over ¼ million visitors.

The 11th annual Capel Military Show. Expect over 400 vehicles; re-enactment groups; parades of light vehicles, tracked vehicles and armour; battle re-enactments; car crushing; naval gun firing and a tug of war between 2 tanks and (mostly static) aircraft.

Focus on cars and motorcycles and a few air displays, which usually includes the Red Arrows. Expect F1 teams to be represented and top F1 and other race drivers from all eras. Entry by advance ticket only - no tickets on the gate.

The fourth Sleap International Fly-in: a festival of live music, food, beer aeroplanes. This is a fly-in, not an airshow as such.

In the grounds of the Army Flying Museum and the Army Air Corps airfield at Middle Wallop. Classic aircraft and vehicles, Kids Zone, Military Area, Corporate Village, Live Music, Beer Tent, Wine Bar, a Pimm’s Corner and Food Court.

Southport is unusual for a seafront airshow in that it is not free and that the flight path is over the broad sands of the beach, whereas most seafront shows are over the sea.

The biggest aircraft trade show in the UK is held once every two years. The first few days are trade days but Friday usually has special features for younger people and is open to the public. There used to be a family airshow on the Saturday and Sunday, but this element of the show was cancelled in 2020.

The Regatta is held over three days. There are generally air displays on one or two of the days, typically including the BBMF.

Free seaside air show and ground attractions, celebrating its 31st year. Not as big as some other seaside shows, but a good mix of military and classic aircraft; exhibition & trade stands, food court and on-site entertainment.

Vintage and classic aircraft fly in to this wartime Fleet Air Arm training airfield. The airpark will be open for visitors to walk round and there will be aircraft flying in and flying by but no full air displays as such.

Over three hours of vintage and aerobatic flying; vintage, veteran and classic vehicles and large scale model aircraft, in aid of Children in Need and local charities.

If it is held, expect military and civilian favourites in the air and naval involvement; parachutes with flares and planes with fireworks after dark along with lots of music and other entertainment on the ground for the whole family in this award-winning festival.

The Victory Show is a tribute to WW2. Over the weekend expect static and flying WWll and modern aircraft, 1940's vehicles, 1940's working and static farm machinery, huge army encampment, 50 re-enactment groups, 200+ vehicles including heavy armour & tanks, tank and steam train rides, trader’s area. Friday 30th is a Schools Educational Day. Although there may be some arrivals on that day, most flying will only be on Saturday and Sunday.

All the fun of the country fair with arena events, hot air balloons, country crafts, dog show, celebrity cooking and possibly one or two aircraft short displays and/or flypasts.

This Flying Day honours 19 Squadron, whose fighter pilots tested the first Spitfire from August 1938 until they flew into combat over Dunkirk and throughout the Battle of Britain.

The Festival will be on 6th - 7th September, with flying on both days and a 'fun day' on 8th.

Step back in time to the halcyon days of motor racing at Goodwood. Revival is not just a celebration but a recreation of the 'Goodwood Years'. Come in period dress and be part of the festival with period car and motorcycle racing, flying and static air displays of pre-1966 craft. Entry by advance ticket only - no tickets on the gate.

Wartime and modern military and civil aircraft. Expect an impressive line-up including a great deal of foreign participation not commonly seen on the mainland. Flying is over the coast in St Aubins Bay, adjacent to the island's capital, St. Helier.

Duxford's September Air Show will again commemorate the Battle of Britain. This is one of the biggest and most popular shows in the airshow calendar and often sells out. As well as flying, there will be living history re-enactments and sounds of the era. The ticket price usually includes access to the museums and exhibitions and the Flightline Experience. No tickets on the gate. Parking needs a pre-purchased permit.

Celebration of the centenary of the DH.60 Moth on Thu 31 Jul and Fri 01 Aug 2025. Organised by the de Havilland Moth Club who intend to assemble the biggest collection of DH.60 since the Second World War and to encourage a target figure of 100 DH Moths to participate in support.
