July 26th & 27th 2025
Previously a one-day show, the Old Buckenham Airshow has been held over 2 days since 2013. For 2021 it had been stretched to three days but reverted to two and remains a two-day show for 2025.
The show offers an exciting and expanding mix of warbirds and civilian aircraft; classic and military vehicles; military vehicle rides; re-enactors; bands; food village; family centre and funfair.
Electric Aircraft.
In 2022 Alex Rainier flew a Pipistrel Velis Electro, believed to be the first electric aircraft display at an Airshow anywhere in the world.
Old Buckenham is already at the forefront of electric flight. The home of the UK’s first electric aircraft charger is also the place where the NUNCATS project is developing an aircraft designed to connect the developing world, with zero emissions.
Minimising Emissions
In order to reduce the environmental impact of the airfield and the airshow in particular, they have studied everything from the aircraft to generators; printing to transport.
The impact of travelling to the show will be offset by planting 40,000 trees, enough to offset 358 tonnes of CO2 and will plant 40,000 trees for every airshow from now on. Cabling is being installed to avoid the use of generators and power only comes from zero emission providers.
The aircraft listed to fly in 2024 are in the table. This will be replaced with a 2025 list when announcements are made.
Check the show's website for ticket details.

Although there is a station at Buckenham, services are sparse. There is normally a service at weekends. Attleborough, between Cambridge and Norwich, is the nearest alternative station. A taxi from there to the airfield would take about 10 minutes in normal traffic.
It is best to book as far as possible in advance. This is not only because nearby hotels and guest houses tend get booked up well before the date of an airshow but also because prices can be better when you book early online.
