On the airfield, vintage aircraft will fly in and all pre '45 aircraft based at the airfield will be out on display. Living history and military re-enactors with WWII displays and pre 1945 clasic cars will be there. On Saturday night one of the biggest Glen Miller Tribute Bands will perform a one-night-only concert in the WWII Blister Hangar. There may also be a WWII aircraft or two in the air.

After 20 shows with a growing schedule of all kinds of aircraft, in 2020 this relaxed and friendly show shifts away from the Bank Holiday and becomes a 'helimeet' with civilian and military helicopters from most eras, alongside the traditional huge fly-in of all aircraft types. There will be flying, mostly of helicopters but also possibly a few fixed wing aircraft and some flypasts. See the press release here.

Returning for a fifth year, the Torbay Airshow becomes 'The English Riviera Airshow'. The show is based over the sea at Paignton and the ground events are centred on Paignton Green.

Previously, Wings & Wheels has not had an air display but for 2020, 90 minutes of flying is planned from about 1pm, featuring a mix of modern and vintage iconic aircraft. There will also be classic and exotic cars in this annual celebration of internal combustion.

July 11 Royal Navy International Air Day

Now the Royal Navy's only airshow, the former 'Yeovilton Air Day' retains its new 'Royal Navy International Air Day' title for 2020. Plenty of contributions from the other UK and foreign services as well, on the ground and in the air. Five hours of fast jets, rotaries, warbirds and formations.

2020 is the 75th anniversary year of VE and VJ Days so displays may well have commemoration of the end of WW2 and international cooperation as themes.

On the ground there will be a huge range of educational attractions from interactive Service displays to engineering fairs; state-of-the-art defence technology exhibitions; trade stalls, arena displays, helicopter pleasure flights, simulators and fairground rides.

One of the most popular warbird air shows and possibly THE heritage air show of the aviation calendar, drawing visitors from around the world. Historic piston engined aircraft in rare combinations in the air and an authentic 1940s atmosphere on the ground.
The finale is a 'balbo': a massed-formation featuring many of the aircraft that took part in the flying displays.

The biggest aircraft trade show in the UK is held once every two years. The first few days are trade days but Friday has special features for younger people and is open to the public. There used to be a family airshow on the Saturday and Sunday, but this element of the show has been cancelled from 2020.

The show has announced that this will be the last Victory Show. It is a tribute to WW2. The ground show is on for three days, but there are usually no airshow or battle re-enactments on Friday. Otherwise over the long weekend expect static and flying WWll and modern aircraft, 1940's vehicles, 1940's working and static farm machinery, huge army encampment, 50 re-enactment groups, 200+ vehicles including heavy armour & tanks, tank and steam train rides, trader’s area.

Duxford's September Air Show will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. This is one of the biggest and most popular shows in the airshow calendar and often sells out. As well as flying, there will be living history re-enactments, sounds of the era and access to the museum.
