The main public focus of a variety of sea events is over the weekend 25 - 26 August, but there is plenty of land-based fun too, including fancy dress and pavement drawing. The Red Arrows are scheduled to fly on the 24th.

Free seaside air show and ground attractions. There will be military and civilian favourites in the air plus exhibition & trade stands, food court and on site entertainment. Main viewing areas will be between Blue Bridge and the Splashpoint along the seafront. The events arena will be by the Seaquarium. The Strikemaster display will be the newly restored G-RSAF.

Mainly a rowing and sailing regatta but also some air displays and related events in and around the town.

Aug 30 - Sept 2 Bournemouth Air Festival
Bournemouth, Dorset

This free seafront show enters its second decade following its 10th anniversary show last year. Expect military and civilian favourites in the air and naval involvement; parachutes with flares and planes with fireworks after dark along with lots of music and other entertainment on the ground for the whole family in this award-winning festival.

Over 1000 aircraft are expected at the Light Aircraft Association International Rally. ‘Racers’ themed display, trade stands and all kinds of aircraft including gyros and microlights. Pre-booked landing slots only. PPR essential.

The Victory Show

Tribute to WW2. Ground show is on for three days, but no airshow or battle re-enactments on Friday. Static and flying WWll and modern aircraft, 1940’s vehicles, 1940’s working and static farm machinery, huge army encampment, 50 re-enactment groups, 200+ vehicles including heavy armour & tanks, tank and steam train rides, trader’s area. Despite the cancellation of all flying in 2017, the air display is expected to go ahead in 2018, subject to weather etc.


Sept 1 - 2 Scottish International Airshow

The former 'Scottish Airshow' retains the 'Scottish International Airshow' title two-day format for 2018, the once-planned evening display being deferred until 2020.

There will be two full days of flying along Ayr seafront over the weekend. Also expect a funfair, aviation market, STEM, family area, comfort seating, VIP, enthusiast areas, vintage vehicles, steam, military villages, marketplace and other ground attractions.

Biggest airshow in Ireland. Free air and sea displays, ground shows and exhibitions in two areas: East Strand and Lansdowne. The display line moved to the east side of the peninsular in 2014, bringing it closer to the crowd line and with the Giant's Causeway and Dunluce Castle photogenically in the background. All displays are bothj days, except the Red Arrows and Falcons are Sunday only, and the Coastguard and MiG-15 are Saturday only.

Sept 7 - 9 Goodwood Revival

Step back in time to the halcyon days of motor racing at Goodwood. Revival is not just a celebration but a recreation of the 'Goodwood Years'. Come in period dress and be part of the festival with period car and motorcycle racing, flying and static air displays of pre-1966 craft. Entry by advance ticket only - no tickets on the gate.

A charity weekend to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War: to remember and celebrate those who served and those who saved in conflicts across the world. The Red Arrows are scheduled to display on Saturday and Sally B on both days.

Wartime and modern military and civil aircraft. Expect an impressive line-up including a great deal of foreign participation not commonly seen on the mainland. Flying is over the coast in St Aubins Bay, adjacent to the island's capital, St. Helier.

Duxford's September Air Show will celebrate the Battle of Britain again in 2018. As well as flying, there will be living history re-enactments, sounds of the era and access to the museum.

Classic cars, bikes and planes, vintage lifestyle and family entertainment. Vintage and classic traders. Vintage funfair and music. Aviation museum and art deco buildings. Many of the visitors wear classic dress.

Sept 29 - 30Cotswold Airport Revival Festival
Cotswold Airport
Fly-ins rather than a full airshow. They are hoping to get 100 aircraft flying in to mark the centenary of the RAF and particularly encourage vintage and military-schemed aircraft, which will have free landings and parking. Also model aircraft, experience flights, re-enactments, demonstrations and rides; vintage and military vehicles; full size and miniature steam engines and entertainment, including period live music.
Sept 29 - 30The LAA & Homebuilt Festival

Landing Fees £5 one-day. Landing Fee with Camping overnight £10. Showers, refreshments and other facilities available. Aircraft-related trade stands. 453rd Bombardment Group Museum and the new 8th Air Force Heritage Gallery will both be open.
