Hampshire Air Festival

Hampshire Air Festival

September 12 - 13

After 5 successful years as The Lee Victory Festival, the show becomes the Hampshire Air Festival for 2026 and moves to Thruxton.

The organisers say there was not enough space at the Lee-on-Solent venue. The Thruxton alternative will enable a greater number and variety of displays in the air and on the ground.

Expect a celebration of “The Age of Flight” with flying and static displays including warbirds, aerobatics and more modern jets. On Saturday evening only there will also be pyrotechnic aerial displays, illuminated drone formations and a fireworks finale.

On the ground activities are due to include motorcycle stunts, military re-enactors, vehicles and live music.

Further details of the show will be on their web site and social media, and here, when announced.

Getting to the Hampshire Air Festival

Use postcode SP11 8PN in the Sat Nav until you get close, but ignore sat nav in favour of local airshow signs as soon as you see them.

The map will show different means of transport. Select the one you want when you see the map and are asked for your starting point.

There are links to other route planners in the Travel Advice section.

By Train

The nearest main line train station is Andover (British Rail Code ADV), which is usually about 10 minutes from the show venue (but allow extra time in show traffic). Andover is about 1hr by train from Clapham Junction, less than 20 minutes from Basingstoke and just over an hour from Southampton.

Accommodation near the show

It is best to book as far as possible in advance. This is not only because nearby hotels and guest houses tend get booked up well before the date of an airshow but also because prices can be better when you book early online.

There are plenty of booking agencies. We find that many of the well known ones are better at finding hotels from international or larger UK chains and may suggest hotels in main towns or cities quite a distance from the show site.

Some Options

There is a Premier Inn hotel in Andover about 5 miles away and another two in Salisbury, about 13 - 15 miles from the show.

There is a Travelodge in Andover and there are another three within about 15 miles of the show.
