Calendar of British & UK Airshows 2025 onwards

Sleap will host the Vintage Piper Aircraft Club Fly-in from about 08.30. Over 40 vintage pipers are expected but all aircraft and vintage car club are welcome. The café and museum will be open as usual.

Aircraft flying in from all over the UK to raise money for the Cornwall Air ambulance. Classic Vehicles including the rare Kernow Flying Flea.

Pilots are invited to bring current or ex-military aircraft (of any country/service) for reduced landing fees. Military museum, vehicles, vintage aircraft rides, exhibits and visiting military aircraft from Friday to Sunday. Any current military arriving will receive a free lunch! Cafe open all day.

An opportunity to see all or some of the aero Legends fleet: Spitfire, Harvard, Stearman, Tiger Moth, as they begin their experience flight season. There will be aircraft movements and probably take-offs and landings, but this is not a fly-in and there will be no air displays. No tickets or booking required.

Each of Duxford's Flying Days is themed and will allow visitors the chance to explore the museum and pop up displays and experiences, before enjoying some flying.

The theme this time celebrates VE Day. The flying-line up will commemorate the role of aviation and RAF Duxford in the fight for peace across Europe.

The first Shuttleworth Collection airshow of the season. Flying displays of resident and visiting aircraft between about 14.00 and 18.00. Also expect vehicle parade and live music.

Mostly military vehicles and trade stands but possibly some flying and taxy runs. Trade stalls, vintage cars, military vehicles, tank firing. All to raise funds for the restoration of Lancaster NX611.

Expect a Friday evening 'Nightfire': a combination of a dusk aerobatic air display with lighting and pyrotechnics and a ground-based hot air balloon glow.

Over the whole weekend expect vintage aircraft, aerobatics and other air displays.

Although the event is being held at Ragley Hall, it is not organised by them, so please do not direct enquiries to the Hall.

In 2020 the Torbay Airshow became 'The English Riviera Airshow' and was to return in 2021 for a fifth year after 2020's cancellation. However, uncertainty surrounding Covid-19 forced a second cancellation. The rebranded show did launch in 2022 with four days of events, although there was only flying over the weekend. The two-day weekend seaside show with the new branding returned in 2023 and 2024 and is scheduled again for 2025. The show is based over the sea at Paignton and the ground events are centred on Paignton Green.

An 'event village' offers stalls, music, food and fair rides.

The Military Airshow has always been one of the venue's bigger airshows. For 2025 it reverts from a weekend to a one-day show in daytime (14.00 - 17.30) and evening (19.30 - 20.30) sessions.

Principally a Motor Bike race over several days but the Red Arrows usually display on the last day. This will not be confirmed until the spring of 2025.

The only RAF-organised show, featuring plenty of RAF displays and other airshow favourites: classic and current British and usually foreign aircraft, too. Lots of static aircraft, entertainment, air museum and trade stalls all on this operational RAF airbase.

The 2022 show was due to be held in September but was postponed because of the death of Her late Majesty. The date was moved to the more traditional May slot for 2023, which it had wished to retain for 2024 but it was postponed until September at the last minute.

The rearranged show was smaller and more community-based with less flying. The 2025 show is likely to retain the smaller, community-based focus.

This is an open day and fly-in with a static aircraft display and classic cars, not an airshow. However, they are aiming to attract lots of visiting aircraft and there will be limited chances to participate in some flying action. There will also be fun and games for all the family, food, drinks, live entertainment, a history hub, and trade stalls.

As well as flying, expect living history re-enactors, sounds of the era and free access to the museums. The ticket price includes access to the museums and exhibitions and the Flightline Experience.

Keeping the UK Armed Forces Community (serving military, reservists, veterans and cadets with their families) in the public eye. A series of build-up attractions to promote civil-military integration and a full programme on the day including parades, entertainment, flying displays and capability demonstrations.

Mostly ground-based with a variety of military villages, but expect a few air displays in the afternoon.

The show features representative aircraft of the Battle of Britain era and family friendly attractions.

The Festival of Flight returns as a two-day show (down from three in 2024) with daytime (14.00 - 17.30) and evening (20.00 - 21.00) flying on both days.

Over both the festival days there will be range of displays to celebrate the achievements of aviation, from the very first flight right up to date, involving the resident Shuttleworth Collection and visiting aircraft. Also expect plenty of activities for the whole family including parades, outdoor cinema, fun fair, fireworks, and interactive Discovery Zones.

A lively and varied country fair that usually has some static vintage aircraft and a little flying mid-afternoon.

The annual Capel Military Show. Expect over 400 vehicles; re-enactment groups; parades of light vehicles, tracked vehicles and armour; battle re-enactments; car crushing; naval gun firing and a tug of war between 2 tanks and (mostly static, usually rotary wing) aircraft.

This show used to be held every two years but became an annual show from 2016. This is a free event along the South Wales coast, which attracts first class displays and over ¼ million visitors.

Focus on cars and motorcycles and a few air displays, which usually includes the Red Arrows. Expect F1 teams to be represented and top F1 and other race drivers from all eras. Entry by advance ticket only - no tickets on the gate.

The fifth Sleap International Fly-in: a festival of live music, food, beer and aeroplanes. This is a fly-in, not an airshow. It is for Shropshire Aero Club Members and visiting pilots only. There will be no public road access.

In the grounds of the Army Flying Museum and the Army Air Corps airfield at Middle Wallop. Expect classic aircraft and vehicles, Kids Zone, Military Area, Corporate Village, Live Music, Beer Tent, Wine Bar, a Pimm’s Corner and Food Court.

Celebration of the centenary of the DH.60 Moth on Thu 31 Jul and Fri 01 Aug 2025. Organised by the de Havilland Moth Club who intend to assemble the biggest collection of DH.60s since the Second World War and to encourage a target figure of 100 DH Moths to participate in support.

Largest show at the Centre, with display flying in the afternoon. Lancaster cockpit viewing, aircraft fly-ins and photo opportunities with the Heritage Centre-based Lancaster 'Just Jane'. During the day: re-enactors, Lancaster and Mosquito taxi runs, trade stalls, vintage cars, military vehicles. Tickets numbers limited. All to raise funds for the restoration of Lancaster NX611.

An Aero Legends base owned by film maker Guy Richie. Expect to see Aero Legends' and other vintage aircraft, aerobatic displays and reenactors; traders and fun fair.

The 31st year of this free 4-day airshow along the very attractive seafront with ground displays, extensive military exhibition and plenty of flying all four days including strong military involvement.

The extremely popular Flying Proms reverts to a one-day event but the other features remain, including aerobatics and pyrotechnics all gracefully choreographed to live music performed by a full symphony orchestra .

Last held in 2013, when it was beset by logistical problems, a new operational team hopes to revive the Airshow at Manston. Their web site with further detail should be live around the end of November / early December.

North American Rockwell OV-10 Bronco

A week of carnival events, in the week that includes the third Wednesday in August, with one or two air displays on that third Wednesday.

Longstanding free seaside air show and ground attractions. Not as big as some other seaside shows, but a good mix of military and classic aircraft; exhibition & trade stands, food court and on-site entertainment.

The Regatta will be held over the weekend. The Air display is planned for the Friday.

Over three hours of vintage and aerobatic flying; vintage, veteran and classic vehicles and large scale model aircraft, in aid of Children in Need and local charities.

Up to 130 classic aircraft and over 200 classic cars are expected, plus craft, vintage, trade and food stalls at this wartime Fleet Air Arm training airfield. The airpark will be open to visitors for part of the day. There will be aircraft flying in and there may be some flypasts, but no full air displays.

The 25th anniversary Victory Show is a tribute to the people involved in WW2. Over the weekend expect static and flying WWll and modern aircraft, 1940's vehicles, 1940's working and static farm machinery, huge army encampment, 50 re-enactment groups, 200+ vehicles including heavy armour & tanks, tank and steam train rides, trader’s area. Friday 29th is a Schools Educational Day. Although there may be some arrivals on that day, most flying will only be on Saturday and Sunday.

All the fun of the country fair with arena events, hot air balloons, country crafts, dog show, celebrity cooking and usually one or two aircraft short displays and/or flypasts.

In 2024 Shuttleworth's season premiere took the theme 'The Best of British'. This year Shuttleworth moves to the summer its celebration of the best that Britain has offered to aviation and automotive innovation. Flying displays of resident and visiting aircraft in the afternoon (14.00 - 17.30) and evening (about 19.00 - about 20.00).

Southport is unusual for a seafront airshow in that it is not free and that the flight path is over the broad sands of the beach, whereas most seafront shows are over the sea. For 2025 the show moves to August.

The Festival will be on 5th - 6th September, with flying on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. This is a free event. Tickets are not required.

Cornwall Strut Fly-In, covering the west in conjunction with the Devon Strut. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Duxford's September Air Show will again commemorate the Battle of Britain. This is one of the biggest and most popular shows in the airshow calendar and often sells out. As well as flying, there will be living history re-enactments and sounds of the era. The ticket price includes access to the museums and exhibitions and the Flightline Experience. No tickets on the gate. Parking needs a pre-purchased permit.

The Red Arrows usually help to encourage runners in this half-marathon from Newcastle to South Shields via Gateshad and the Tyne Bridge. However, their programme for 2025 will not be known for certain until the Spring of 2025.

Wartime and modern military and civil aircraft. Expect an impressive line-up including a great deal of foreign participation not commonly seen on the mainland. Flying is over the coast in St Aubins Bay, adjacent to the island's capital, St. Helier.

Step back in time to the halcyon days of motor racing at Goodwood. Revival is not just a celebration but a recreation of the 'Goodwood Years'. Come in period dress and be part of the festival with period car and motorcycle racing, flying and static air displays of pre-1966 craft. Entry by advance ticket only - no tickets on the gate.

The biggest aircraft trade show in the UK is held once every two years. The first few days are trade days but Friday usually has special features for younger people and is open to the public. There used to be a family airshow on the Saturday and Sunday, but this element of the show was cancelled in 2020.
