The 20th anniversary of the Abingdon Air and Country Show. This relaxed and friendly show keeps to the Bank Holiday weekend for 2019 after experimenting with a slightly later date in 2017. It may well be the first major show of the year for most participants, so the first public display of new teams, new personnel, new paint schemes etc.

Expect live music, local crafts, vintage and classic vehicles, military and civilian static aircraft, as well as a major fly-in.

There will be a commemoration of the 75th anniversary of D-Day from 2 to 5 June at IWM Duxford and from 6 to 9 June at Caen Carpiquet Airport in France. On 5th June around 40 Douglas Dakotas / DC-3s / C-47s from all over the world are expected to fly in formation across the English Channel for an airborne parachute drop over the original 1944 drop zones.

June 22 - 23 Classic & Sports Car Show with Flywheel Festival

The Classic and Sports Car Show (often abbreviated to C&SCShow), previously held at Alexandra Palace, and the Flywheel Festival, have combined into a show with cars and aircraft. Cars on display from private owners, collectors and dealers on this well preserved WW2 bomber station, all against the background of genuine WW2 buildings.

June 24 - 30 Chalke Valley History Festival Air Show

The History Festival lasts all week from 24th June but the airshow element is usually limited to the final weekend.

Salisbury will host the National Armed Forces Day event this year. Expect a formal parade and substantial airshow.

Focus on cars and motorcycles and a few top air displays, which usually include the Red Arrows. Expect plenty of F1 teams to be represented and top F1 and other race drivers from all eras. Entry by advance ticket only - no tickets on the gate.

July 6 - 7 Wales Air Show

This show used to be held every two years but became an annual show from 2016. This is a free event along the South Wales coast, which attracts first class displays and over ¼ million visitors.

July 13 Royal Navy International Air Day

Now the Royal Navy's only airshow, the Yeovilton Air Day becomes the 'Royal Navy International Air Day' for 2019. Plenty of contributions from the other UK and foreign services as well, on the ground and in the air. Five hours of fast jets, rotaries, warbirds and formations.

This is the 50th anniverasry of the Cromer Carnival; a week of events, always held in August, in the week which includes the third Wednesday, this year 17th - 23rd August. The Red Arrows usually display, but they will be in the USA at the time. There are generally two air displays and in 2019 The Blades will be one of them.

Free seaside air show and ground attractions. There will be military and civilian favourites in the air plus exhibition & trade stands, food court and on site entertainment. Main viewing areas will be between Blue Bridge and the Splashpoint along the seafront. The events arena will be by the Seaquarium. The charity nominated to benefit in 2019 is the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.

The 12th Bournemouth airshow, one of the biggest free shows in the country. Expect military and civilian favourites in the air and naval involvement; parachutes with flares and planes with fireworks after dark along with lots of music and other entertainment on the ground for the whole family in this award-winning festival.

The Southport Airshow moves back to its September slot for 2019 after trying out a July date in 2018. Friday dusk and weekend seafront air show, but not free. Unusual in that the flight path is over the broad sands of the beach, whereas most seafront shows are over the sea.

Sept 6 - 8 The Victory Show

Tribute to WW2. Ground show is on for three days, but usually no airshow or battle re-enactments on Friday. Static and flying WWll and modern aircraft, 1940’s vehicles, 1940’s working and static farm machinery, huge army encampment, 50 re-enactment groups, 200+ vehicles including heavy armour & tanks, tank and steam train rides, trader’s area.

Sept 7 and/or 8 (TBC) Scottish International Airshow
Venue to be announced, possibly Kirkcaldy


The former 'Scottish Airshow' should retain the 'Scottish International Airshow' title 2019 but the venue will be different and it may be reduced to a single day. The venue has not been announced but Kirkcaldy is possible. Further details are awaited and will be here when available.

Step back in time to the halcyon days of motor racing at Goodwood. Revival is not just a celebration but a recreation of the 'Goodwood Years'. Come in period dress and be part of the festival with period car and motorcycle racing, flying and static air displays of pre-1966 craft. Entry by advance ticket only - no tickets on the gate.

A weekend of jets at North Weald, organised by the Gnat Display Team. Friday is photography day, when up to 15 jets will be available for a limited number of photographers.
Saturday and Sunday will not be an airshow as such although there will free (donations welcome) access and an opportunity to see vintage jets on the ground, possibly with some fly-ins, engine runs, taxiing and flying.
