June 29 National Armed Forces Day

Salisbury will host the National Armed Forces Day event this year. Expect a formal parade and substantial airshow.

Also Red Arrows and Apache flypasts and displays by two aircraft from the Historic Army Aviation Flight

The local 'thank you' to the Armed Forces Family in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes will include a flying display, fairground rides and attractions, veteran's village, reservists village, youth village, military vehicles, craft stalls and other activities.

Displays from current personnel, veterans, cadet forces, support agencies and charities. Events include flying displays, the City of Plymouth Pipe Band, the marching band of the Royal Marines, Plymouth, a Field Gun challenge and, in the air, RNLI and coastguard rescue demo, Merlin and Spitfire flypasts and, to close the day, the Red Arrows.

This brand new airshow in South Devon is part of a fun weekend lasting from 5th - 7th. It was once expected to be a joint show with nearby Dawlish but is now a Teignmouth-only show over 3 days. The plan is for a three day weekend event starting with live music Friday 5th July featuring local bands, an Airshow on Saturday 6th July and a ‘Family Funday’ on Sunday 7th July.

Now the Royal Navy's only airshow, the Yeovilton Air Day becomes the 'Royal Navy International Air Day' for 2019. Plenty of contributions from the other UK and foreign services as well, on the ground and in the air. Five hours of fast jets, rotaries, warbirds and formations.

One of the most popular warbird air shows and possibly THE heritage air show of the aviation calendar, drawing visitors from around the world. Historic piston engined aircraft in rare combinations in the air and an authentic 1940s atmosphere on the ground.
The finale is a 'balbo': a massed-formation featuring many of the aircraft that took part in the flying displays.

The airfield at war. As well as flying displays (weather permitting) expect re-enactors as soldiers, nurses and airmen; their uniforms, weaponry, equipment and training and authentic demonstrations showing the various skills a soldier needed to do his job.

Annual military show & vehicle parade in the villages of Uppermill in Saddleworth this year marks the 40th Anniversary of the release of the film 'YANKS' and has a display by the Lancaster of both of the days.

The Red Arrows usually display, but they will be in the USA at the time. There are generally two air displays and in 2019 they will be The Blades and the Wildcats.

Free seaside air show and ground attractions. There will be military and civilian favourites in the air plus exhibition & trade stands, food court and on site entertainment. Main viewing areas will be between Blue Bridge and the Splashpoint along the seafront. The events arena will be by the Seaquarium. The charity nominated to benefit in 2019 is the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.

The 12th Bournemouth airshow, one of the biggest free shows in the country. Expect military and civilian favourites in the air and naval involvement; parachutes with flares and planes with fireworks after dark along with lots of music and other entertainment on the ground for the whole family in this award-winning festival.

Biggest airshow in Ireland. Free air and sea displays, ground shows and exhibitions in two areas: East Strand and Lansdowne. The Southport Airshow moves back to its September slot for 2019 after trying out a July date in 2018. Friday dusk and weekend seafront air show, but not free. Unusual in that the flight path is over the broad sands of the beach, whereas most seafront shows are over the sea.

Sept 6 - 8 The Victory Show

Tribute to WW2. Ground show is on for three days, but usually no airshow or battle re-enactments on Friday. Static and flying WWll and modern aircraft, 1940's vehicles, 1940's working and static farm machinery, huge army encampment, 50 re-enactment groups, 200+ vehicles including heavy armour & tanks, tank and steam train rides, trader’s area.

CANCELLED Scottish International Airshow

The local authority in Ayr can only sponsor the show on alternate years, the next in 2020. It was hoped that an alternative venue, possibly Kirkcaldy, would hold the show in 2019 but it has not been possible to agree the arrangements. The 2019 show is therefore not being held but the TSIA will be back in Ayr in 2020 'bigger and better' than before.

Step back in time to the halcyon days of motor racing at Goodwood. Revival is not just a celebration but a recreation of the 'Goodwood Years'. A weekend of jets at North Weald, organised by the Gnat Display Team. Friday is photography day, when up to 15 jets will be available for a limited number of photographers.
Saturday and Sunday will not be an airshow as such although there will free (donations welcome) access and an opportunity to see vintage jets on the ground, possibly with some fly-ins, engine runs, taxiing and flying.

The biggest aircraft trade show in the UK is held once every two years. The first few days are trade days but Friday has special features for younger people and is open to the public. There used to be a family airshow on the Saturday and Sunday, but this element of the show has been cancelled from 2020.
