On the Friday evening expect 'Nightfire', a combination of a night time aerobatic air display with lighting and pyrotechnics and a ground-based hot air balloon glow.

Mainly a trade fair exhibiting all types from ultralights through to piston props and helicopters as well as aviation-related technology and accessories. Around 1,000 aircraft are expected. It will include fly-ins of private and exhibited aircraft and an aerobatic air display.

After 20 shows with a growing schedule of all kinds of aircraft, in 2020 the cancelled show was going to become a 'helimeet' with civilian and military helicopters from most eras, alongside the traditional huge fly-in of all aircraft types. The details for 2021 are awaited. We expect for the 21st Abingdon show most of the flying will be helicopters but also possibly a few fixed wing aircraft and some flypasts.

Also expect live music, local crafts, vintage and classic vehicles.

The Southport Airshow returns to a July date for 2021. There is usually Friday dusk flying as well as a weekend seafront air show, but details for 2021 have not been confirmed. Unusual for a seafront airshow in that it is not free and that the flight path is over the broad sands of the beach, whereas most seafront shows are over the sea.

The balloon fiesta, as its name suggests, is principally a gathering for balloon enthusiasts with ground attractions including music and a fair but there are usually also air displays. Balloon launches and nightglows some days.

This is a free 4-day festival about 20 minutes walk from Bristol city centre. Shuttle bus or parking (charged) is available.

The organisers, Denbighshire Leisure Ltd, are promising a 'bigger and even better' airshow in 2021 following the cancellation of the 2020 show.

The Victory Show

The 2020 show was to have been the last Victory Show but it was cancelled because of the Coronavirus. The show has announced that this postponed 2020 show will be held in 2021.

It is a tribute to WW2. The ground show is on for three days, but there are usually no airshow or battle re-enactments on Friday. Over weekend expect static and flying WWll and modern aircraft, 1940's vehicles, 1940's working and static farm machinery, huge army encampment, 50 re-enactment groups, 200+ vehicles including heavy armour & tanks, tank and steam train rides, trader’s area.

The biggest aircraft trade show in the UK is held once every two years. The first few days are trade days but Friday has special features for younger people and is open to the public. There used to be a family airshow on the Saturday and Sunday, but this element of the show was cancelled in 2020.
