Airshow going ahead?

This page is about the affect on British Airshows in 2020 of Covid-19 (Coronavirus) and the government's actions designed to reduce its impact.

The situation is changing quickly. We will publish and update any information about cancelled or postponed airshows that is provided by show organisers in press releases, on their web sites or through social media.

The Government's position

On 16th March The Prime Minister announced that

The advice has since been strengthened. Gatherings of more than 2 people are no longer allowed unless all are from the same household and residents are told to stay at home except in specific circumstances, which do not include events.

It is difficult to reconcile the current advice against travelling and in favour of 'social distancing' with attendance at an airshow. There would also be issues for organisers if there is no co-operation from the police and other agencies.

We will update this page when we become aware of any changes.

Official Advice

General advice for everyone is on the government's web site (not specifically relating to airshows).
